First off, for those who haven’t heard of the VanAM competition, it’s held once a year in the great Vancouver city area.  It’s purpose is to give up and comers a chance to showcase their skills, get a taste of competition, and possibly win the title of VanAM. This competition is open for beginner and amateur level rollers so don’t be discouraged to enter if you’ve just started skating. We encourage it! Competitors will be judged on style, creativity, consistency, technicality, and how far they step out of their comfort zone.
Ok, get your calendars ready. This years VanAM competition will be held on July 25, 2009. Followed by the Richmond BBQ Skate Jam on the 26th. Thats right, it’s a 2 day event! I hope everyone can make it out for the Comp, and come hang out with us at Richmond skate park for some skating and food.
