What’s new with Danny Beer

I recently made a post called “What’s new with Leon (Myself)” and got alot of positive response. So I decided to start making “What’ new” posts with different skaters across Canada. The idea of these posts is to show more personality than just another picture or edit and to show what everyone is up to. So for the this post, I choose Danny Beer. Danny is one of our flow riders from the other end of the country. When I asked him to send me a picture or two for this post, he went out and got about 10 of them in one day. I really respect Danny’s dedication to rollerblading and very proud to have him represent Shop-Task, Enjoy!

Danny Beer:  During the summer I had such a great time; wrote my last exam for high school, then literally flew across the country to skate in the Pop contest the next day. I had met a lot of the Canadian skaters from all over. After the contest, I got to chill at Leon’s crib and have another week of skating in Vancouver. It was a great experience, and I plan to move to Van in the future…
Now I’m back in Newfoundland, skating with a huge group of people compared to last year. We have people of all ages skating; killin’ it daily. We recently got a little indoor park, and session there every Tuesday and Thursday night. About two months ago, my friends and I put together a competition called “Summer Days”, which was awesome and mad peeps showed up. Shop-Task gave us coupons and prizes for the contesters and they were stoked!
Last month, my friend Phil St. Aubin (blader) worked with local brewing company “Quidi Vidi” to make a commercial for them. Needless to say, you guys will be seeing the commercial because we have a skating clip in there. It should be ready within the next few weeks.
Now that I’m finished high school, I have had the opportunity to skate every single day for the past 3 months. But today, I just worked my first shift at a restaurant by my house, so we will see how this goes, haha. For now I will just be skating here in Newfoundland, until I travel somewhere in the spring.
